Karviná is the lead partner of the rainDROP project. It is responsible for the overall management of the project (majority of WP5 tasks). Beside the management role Karviná and their external experts are also responsible for several important actions, such as reporting of the outcome of WP1.
The City of Karviná has been involved in several trans-national co-operation activities on the functioning of their own administration (by observation and feedback from a Polish Partner city) and giving feedback to the functioning of this Partner city in return. This co-operation has been going on since the beginning of 2004 and is still in progress.

The Municipality of Kupferzell is responsible for managing its own part of the rainDROP project, which are the three pilot projects in the municipality. Those pilot projects in their turn imply the implementation of the proposed measures and activities.
The Municipality of Kupferzell will provide the essential input for the final product of rainDROP. This product will be a SWM guideline and framework Master plan for the entire CADSES region. The way to gather the input needed for a valid SWM guideline and Master plan wramework is by making pilot projects and workshops with decision makers throughout the CADSES region. Kupferzell is one of those pilot locations. The data thus obtained will then be merged and refined into a more generally applicable SWM guideline and Master plan framework.

Trenčín is responsible for one workpackage (WP1, Overall Storm Water Management Concept) in the rainDROP project. Trenčín is also responsible for the implementation of its own implementation (pilot) projects and for co-operation on any of the other Actions where all Trenčín is contributing with knowledge and experience.
Trenčín has had several different experiences in the field of trans-national co-operation in Europe as well as with nations outside of Europe. A recent project in which Trenčín is participating is the enerCEE project on Energy for Central and Eastern Europe.

Institution: Municipality of Aharnai

The Municipality of Aharnai is responsible for the creation of a Guideline for planning SWM measures in the CADSES area, which is WP4. Apart from that Aharnai is contributing very much to WP2 by constructing several different pilot SWM measures, that will help understand the applicability of those measures.
Aharnai is esssential for the rainDROP project, because as a Mediterranean coastal area city it deals with specific problems in the CADSES region, different from the other Partners. Aharnai will therefore contribute with its partneship to a more complete picture of the current SWM practice in the CADSES region, as well as to a valid and widely applicable Guideline for future SWM Master planning.
The City of Aharnai was involved in activities for the Olympic Games 2004 and has thus gained experience with international and trans-national co-operation. The external expert with which Aharnai will be working on the rainDROP project, has gained much experience with trans-national co-operation in SWM, participating in a European R&D project.

The responsibility of the Vsetín Microregion is WP3: Comparative analysis of SWM policies in the CADSES area. On top of that the Vsetín Microregion will contribute to any activity where its input is needed. This will mainly the Actions where comparison and merging of data from different parts of the CADSES area is planned. The Vsetín Microregion is also responsible for several Actions within the different workpackages.
The Vsetín Microregion has been involved in several trans-national co-operation activities, especially because of its strategically position near the border with Slovak Republic.
