Types of action
1. Planning activities (transnational studies and strategies, land use plans, etc.)
- Analysis of potentials for decentral SWM, followed by the development of integrated SWM strategies, concepts and monitoring system
- Scenario development for decentral SWM
- Examination of retention possibilities development area catchment areas.
- Investigation of existing retention systems and assessment
- Modelling of impact for different SWM scenarios including floodplain determination
- Evaluation and assessment of scenarios
2. Networking
- Negotiation of SWM design objectives with decision makers in all partner cities
- Establishment of a new, as well as extension and intensification of cooperation in existing, transnational networks and network related activities
3. Pilot actions
- Making a Rainfall-Runoff-Model (STORM) for all partner cities, including urban and rural areas
- Implementation of state-of-the-art SWM measures in all partner cities
- Finalising the results in a Master plan (report)
- Implementation of state-of-the-art flood protection measures in relevant partner cities
4. Information, training, awareness raising
- Exchange of data, information, methods and procedures in the field of water management
- Transnational project management with organisational structure and costs
- Financing of implementation structures proposed by transnational strategic concepts
