MANAGEMENT OF THE PROJECT

General co-ordination and overall responsibilities

Lead Partner is the City of Karviná. Karviná will also be the ERDF-Partner.

Each Partner city is bringing in the competence of their own staff. In addition, consultants will be hired.

For the Czech Partner cities, engineering company Duis Ltd. will develop the Mater plan including the Rainfall-Runoff simulation and will also be responsible for designing the measures. Duis has lots of experience in hydrological and hydraulic modelling. Consequently they will be responsible for WP1.

In Trenčín this work will be done by DHI Slovakia. They will also be in charge of coordinating the review of current stormwater management (SWM) policies in states of the CADSES area (WP3).

Kupferzell will hire engineering company Prof. Sieker Ltd. (IPS). IPS has a lot of experience designing and inventing stormwater (SW) best management practices (BMPs) and is therefore responsible for WP2.

In Greece, design and modelling will be partly carried out by the consultant Ydronomi. Prof Aftias, owner of Ydronomi, will be responsible for preparing the SWM guidelines (WP 4).

Operational management, including administrative and financial aspects

The Lead partner will draw up contracts with each of the four other partners. In these contracts, all the duties of the lead partner (reporting, financial management, overall auditing, project evaluation) and the partners (deliverables, milestones, reporting to lead partner, regional auditing, attending project and other international meetings) are regulated.

For necessary decisions during the project phase (e. g. adaptation of time schedule, changes in responsibilities, etc.) a steering committee with one member from each partner will be established.

Fro exchanging information (documents, maps, data, etc.) a document management system will be installed as a part of the project web site.
